605 from 84 Monte Carlo. You need the C-ring top box. 605 IS that box. Check this site http://www.carsteering.com/…2-00277.html

I started using 600 boxes, had WAY too many problems with the 605

Whats the 600 box from?I might stick with the 605 for now?For the 600 do you use the same bracket as the 605?Thanks Mickey and gearheead for these quick responses.

not sure what cars they come off, I get ‚em @ C.A.R.S. Inc. As far as I recall the brackets are same. They are vertually the same but built better and don‘t leak as much.

605 box on my 62 Belair is leak/problem free for 5 years.

Mickey.........you have a good box there…hold on to that one.

Call 800) cars inc. ask what the use/sell… the 600 box. Most people do nowadays…better quality

I've got a 59 Chevy pickup I would like to do a 605 upgrade on. Is this possible

59–64 full size chevrolet is the same conversion. The center link is different on the old style PS cars. They even make an adapter for that. Impala Bobs, Cars, Show-cars, Ecklers all have the brackets or kits.

Try the 600 gear box, made by Borgeson, which CARS INC carries for the 1962 Impala. It is a new gear boxes.

Order at www.carsinc.com or call us to order at 1 800 CARS INC
