1969 chevelle rear antenna

Can you tell me where to drill hole for rear mount antenna on a '69 chevelle? Will a front antenna work on rear? Any special parts needed?

Cliff, The rear antenna hole is 1.12 inches in diameter, which is located on the right rear quarter panel. Also the factory assembly manual lists these dimensions as 127.5 PV and 28.32 RV. These dimensions, as well as a picture are located in the Factory Assembly Manual reprint of the original GM manual on page 480. Our part number is 8775, which is $19.00 and in stock.

I am running into the same problem, have the manual, but what does pv and rv refer to?
